The theme is for Chemeca 2018 is Chemical Engineering in Australasia which will explore the emerging opportunities and challenges for the chemical engineering profession and process industries throughout the region. Call for papers is closed. The programme will feature work under the following themes:

Abstract submission guidelines

Please ensure that your abstract is submitted online through the submission portal by 1 March 2018 and that your abstract complies with the following criteria:

  • Overall abstract word count, excluding the scientific title, authors and affiliations must not exceed 250 words  
  • Abbreviations - full text on first mention followed by abbreviation of first parenthesis  
  • Enter your abstract in the call for papers portal
  • Select one theme that best relates to your abstract  
  • Select your presentation preference (oral or poster). Poster presenters may be given the opportunity to summarise their paper orally in an appropriate session
  • Key words are to be included at the conclusion of your abstract  
  • Ensure all authors and affiliations are included  
  • Submit a short 100x word biography for the presenting author (this is separate to the abstract word count)  
  • Upon successful submission of your abstract, the submitter will receive email confirmation containing a unique paper number relating to the abstract. Keep record of this number as this will be required during the whole call for papers process
  • You will be able to edit your abstract until the call for papers closes on 1 March 2018
  • Accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper containing the same abstract
  • The red symbol (exclamation point)  indicates you will be able to edit your abstract until 1 March 2018
  • If you would like to withdraw your abstract after you submit please contact the Chemeca 2018 conference organisers by email: conferences@icheme.org

NOTE: Successful abstracts will be published via the online programme, therefore please pay close to attention to the spelling of your abstract.
